Hi. My name is Aliya Zaidi. This blog is focused on digital marketing and the internet more broadly, although I may occasionally stray from this area. Please bear with me.
I’m a former research manager for Econsultancy. I’m currently on a career break, taking time out to enjoy the ups and downs of being a stay-at-home mum.
I started this blog in late 2008, but as life got busier, my posts got less frequent, as I was mostly blogging about digital marketing for Econsultancy. Here, I wrote research reports and blog posts about a variety of topics including social media, mobile marketing and innovation. You can check out some of my blog posts over at Econsultancy.
I’ve restarted this blog because I love writing and because I’m passionate about all things to do with the internet and digital marketing. If you want to find out more about me, you can read my Tweets, or check out my LinkedIn profile. See below for my other social networks.
I also have a keen interest in the following: healthy eating, fashion, cooking, living in London, politics, halal food, The Foo Fighters, watching American box sets, and superhero movies. I also love spreadsheets and good grammar.
A quick note about images in the header
All the images used in the header are my own and have been taken by me or my husband whilst abroad. As this blog is called evolution, I wanted to capture a sense of some of the places I’ve visited and some of my experiences since I last wrote on this blog.
I also debated whether to start writing again on a different blog, but I decided for clarity, to allow readers to see some of my old posts, to give a complete picture of myself and to see how my writing style and interests have changed over time.
